We’ve invited two KHN physicians, internist Dr. Peter Nelson and cardiologist Dr. Harvey Hahn to discuss the pros and cons of how we approach our physical well-being and the health care system. Many of these observations were present before the pandemic, but with COVID, issues have intensified. About Our Guest
Dr. Harvey Hahn
Dr. Harvey Hahn specializes in cardiology with an emphasis on invasive cardiology and cardiovascular imaging. He earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University, School of Medicine, where he also completed his internship and residency. He completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati where he was chief fellow. Dr. Hahn served as an assistant professor of medicine in cardiology at University of Cincinnati. He also served as the director of the echocardiography/hemodynamics laboratory at the University Hospital in Cincinnati and assistant director for the cardiology fellowship training program. He is widely published for his research. Dr. Hahn is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and American Society of Echocardiography. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1997, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases since 2010. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Peter Nelson
Peter Nelson, MD, MPH is a board certified internal medicine physician with over 10 years of experience. Dr. Nelson completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at Loma Linda University in California. He finished residency in Internal Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, where he also completed a second residency in Leadership and Preventive Medicine. His primary scope of service is Preventive Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Internal Medicine, Adult and Geriatric medical treatment, and Primary Care. “I believe in working with patients on creating a lifestyle that prevents and treats chronic health conditions, improves their quality of life, all while reducing the dependency on medications.” – Peter Nelson, MD, MPH
