It’s Friday, which means it’s time to meet one more intern. This week, we introduce our last intern, Devyn Harvey, an intern with the Strategy and Innovation team. Devyn is a senior at the University of Dayton majoring in biochemistry and a minor in insight selling. She is from Beavercreek, Ohio, just down the road from MB.
Let’s get to know Devyn!
How would you describe yourself in one word? Why?
I would use the word adventurous. I enjoy new challenges and learning new things, which is why I enjoy staying busy. Exploring and learning are things I routinely do in my free time.
What is one of your hobbies?
One of my hobbies is reading. I have upwards of 150 books at my house. I can also get through a 600-page book within a day.
If you were an ice cream flavor, what would you be?
I would be Mint Chocolate Chunk, specifically the Ben & Jerry’s version. It’s one of my go-to flavors.
What is a fun fact about you?
I have been coaching high school lacrosse for the last two years. I am currently on staff at Centerville High School.
What is your favorite thing about McGohan Brabender?
My favorite thing about McGohan Brabender is the people I work with in Strategy and Innovation. They have been teaching me so much about marketing and various other disciplines. They are also a fun group of individuals and work so well with each other.
If you could have dinner with any celebrity, alive or dead, who would it be?
I’d have dinner with Morgan Freeman. If that man is in a movie, you know it will be good, so I’d ask him how he picks what movies he will be in.
Why did you choose MB?
I chose MB because of the interview process. During the phone interview with Max, I became very interested in what an insurance broker did, making me want to learn more about the company. I knew that the work I would be doing would interest me, and I’d be learning about an industry I knew nothing about.
What are your thoughts on MB so far?
MB is an amazing company with even better people. I did not expect an office job to have so many fun meetings and activities, such as the ESOP meeting, the project we’ve been working on collectively as interns, and being able to write these blog posts about all the wonderful people I’ve been working with this summer.
